Recently I visited Mount Abu in Rajasthan. Mount Abu is called the
green oasis of the cold waves. Green valleys and rocks tell something
about the diversity of culture and environment of
Rajasthan. Mount Abu is known
for the famous Dilwara Jain temples. Beauty in the sculpture on the
walls of temples reminds us the beauty of Khajuraho Temples. The
ambiance of the environment make this spot an ideal destination for
honeymoons. Firstly I went to the Dilwara Jain Temples and worshiped
Jain thirthankars.
In Dilwara Jain Temples, there one five temples. Each one is as
beautiful as other. The pillars and walls are made up of Rajasthan
marbles. Then I went to the Nakki lake. This is so called because the
lake was dug out using nails of Gods to prevent the people from a Demon.
Our father of nation, Mahatma Gandhi's ashes were immersed in this holy
lake. I went their and indulged in lake boating. After Nakki Lake I
started walking around the Aravali village. There were lot of rocks
whose structure were similar to the animals and it attracted me the
most. The scene of the sunset at sunset point makes the city of Mount
Abu very charming and appealing.
